Description
Give your objects an antique look with the ripping varnish or crackling technique!
Choose two acrylic colors that form a visible contrast with each other.
1 Paint the base with the first color. If the background is already painted with an acrylic color, you can skip this step. Let the base dry well. In the end, the base color will be visible only in the cracked areas.
2 In the second step, apply the crackle paint evenly to the surface. Let the varnish dry.
3 Finally, apply the second color evenly over the dry varnish. The second color will crack as it dries and the first color will show in some places – as if the object has aged. The top color should not be a metallic color, as this usually does not crack.
