INSTRUCTIONS
1.Fill wax into melting pot and heat to 80° – 90°C in a hot water bath [cooking-pot]. The temperature of the wax has a direct influence on a smooth surface of the candle and on taking the candle out of the mould! Do not melt wax directly in a cooking-pot because of fire risk.
2.Add colour-powder to achieve your individual colour. Too much colour-powder might influence the burning of the candle in a negative way.
3.Chose a wick corresponding to the diameter of the mould. Wicks for non-cylindrical moulds are based on a medium diameter.
4.Make a double-knot at one end of the wick [picture 1] and cut off at required length cut obliquely for easy inserting of the wick into the mould. Tighten and fix wick with enclosed needle. Double-knot must fit well in order to seal opening of the mould .
5.Pour fluid wax into mould. While cooling down a small crater will appear. Pour in rest of the fluid wax before the first layer has cooled down completely.
Put mould in an oblique position to achieve different layers [see picture 3 and 4]. Set the mould into a bowl filled with sand to keep it in an oblique position.
6.Take candle out of the mould when wax has cooled down completely. In case of difficulties put the mould into the refrigerator for a short while and try again.
ATTENTION:
Mould must be clean and dry. For cleaning we recommend you to use hot water dry with a towel or paper tissue.
