Felting on gauzy silk chiffon with merino roving tuft super smooth. By shrinking the merino wool you will get fascinating effects.
For a fast and easy felting use mega felting fluid.
1. Lay down the bubble wrap, bubbles are on top.
2. Place the silk chiffon scarf onto the bubble wrap.
3. Create your individual pattern, at first mulberry silk, and gauzy merino roving tuft on top.
4. If you use gauze the pattern will not slip so easily.
5. Fill the mixing bottle, 250 ml with warm water and approx. 10 drops of Mega felting fluid. Shake well. Moisten the surface and press slightly on top.
6. Start felting with careful circle movements that the wool joins the scarf. Intensify the pressure while rubbing.
7. Turn round the silk chiffon scarf and repeat the moves on the reverse side as long as you can see the hairs of the wool. Work without gauze directly on the merino wool.
8. Silk chiffon scarf can be rolled and flex-levelled by hand or in the tumble dryer.
9. Rinse the scarf carefully and let it dry.
