LOGAN MODEL 704 GLASS CUTTER

A hand held glass cutting tool using a hardened steel wheel with ergonomic handle.

To Cut Glass Using Team System or Adapt-a-Rule
• Use on a flat work surface.
• Clean area to be scored.
• Using the rail ruler, measure where to score rail and align rail.
• Place Model 704 on rail so nylon guide fits over outer lip of rail.
• Begin with wheel just beyond the outside edge of the glass.
• Grasp the Model 704 and pull it toward you keeping even downward pressure.
• Do not stop until wheel rolls of glass. A light reven score will produce the best results.
DO NOT REPEAT A SCORE.

To Cut Glass Using Compact or Simplex
• Helpful Hint: Use underlay-ment of scrap mat-board to cover entire board surface.
[When separating scored glass, tiny glass dust will result and sfick in vinyl on matcutter board surface if not covered.]
• Place glass on matcutters protected surface.
• Clean area to be scored.
• Remove mat guide.
• Measure where to score glass and align with Guide Rail.
• Place Model 704 on rail so nylon guide fits over outer lip of rail.
• Begin with wheel just beyond the outside edge of the glass.
• Grasp the Model 704 and pull it toward you keeping even downward pressure.
• Do not stop until wheel rolls of glass. A light reven score will produce the best results.
DO NOT REPEAT A SCORE.

Breaking Scored Glass
• Slide scored glass over the edge of a covered work table or edge of a machines work surface.
• Align score on glass with edge of work surface.
• Hold side of glass on work surface rigid.
• Grasp overhanging side of glass toward top and give a quick downward push.

Helpful Hint: Use a Pair of Cut-Running Pliers
• This tool could be used on larger pieces of glass and can be purchased at your local hardware store.

Note:
• Keep cutting wheel lubricated with kerosene or lighter fluid.

Replacement Wheels
• Use Logan #786 replacement wheels.
